- Personal Identification Information: Name, phone number, and email address provided during registration. Phone numbers are strictly verified via One-Time Password (OTP) to ensure account security.
- Location Data: Precise geolocation data is collected to connect you with the nearest available Service Professionals ("Mistris") and to enable them to locate your residence. We may collect this data in the background during an active service request to track the professional's arrival.
- Service Data: Details about the specific services you request (e.g., "Leaking tap in kitchen," "Switchboard repair"), including any photos, voice notes, or text descriptions you upload to explain the issue.
- Device Information: Information about the device you use to access our platform, including IP address, device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers, for security and analytics purposes.
- Communication Records: Records of SMS (via Sparrow SMS), notifications, and customer support interactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used for the following specific purposes:
- Service Provisioning: To match your service request with the most suitable and available Mistri in your municipality (e.g., Birtamode, Bhadrapur).
- Communication: To send status updates regarding your booking, arrival times, and invoice details via SMS or Push Notifications.
- Safety and Security: To verify the identity of users and professionals, preventing fraud and ensuring the safety of both parties during home visits.
- Platform Improvement: To analyze usage trends, service demand hotspots, and user feedback to improve our app functionality and service quality.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with lawful requests from law enforcement agencies or regulatory bodies in Nepal.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With Service Professionals: Once a booking is confirmed, we share your First Name, rough location, and specific problem details with the assigned Mistri so they can deliver the service. Your full phone number may be masked or shared securely depending on the call integration.
- With Third-Party Service Providers: We utilize trusted third-party services for infrastructure:
- Supabase: For secure database hosting and authentication management.
- Sparrow SMS: For delivering OTPs and transactional alerts.
- Google Maps Platform: For rendering maps and location services.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with the Privacy Act 2075 or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mistri Home Service, our users, or the public.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and transaction history for as long as your account is active or as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. We may retain certain data for a longer period if required for tax, legal, or accounting purposes (e.g., keeping invoice records for tax audits).

Access to our backend databases is strictly restricted to authorized personnel only.
